Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist Needed- Brooklyn, NY

The Psychiatrist will have an average patient load of 10-12 patients, performing evaluations, medication management, risk assessments, and developing treatment plans. The patient base consists of an adult underserved population presenting with various mental health, dual diagnosis issues, low socioeconomic status, MICA patients. The hospital offers a continuum of care which includes acute, medical, surgical, gynecological, pediatric, and psychiatric inpatient, outpatient care, and emergency services, and patient-focused education and prevention services in the inpatient and ambulatory setting. The Behavioral Health department consists of 3 inpatient units with 30 beds per unit, with an average LOS of 14-20 days. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, with voluntary call available, which pays in addition to the regular salary. A full hospital benefits package is offered.
