Overview
Lahey Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a Structural Interventional Cardiologist to join the team to expand outreach in an expanding healthcare network. The qualified physician would be replacing a retiring physician. The job involves spending 50% of the time supporting outreach programs and 50% of the time at the main campus. 3 or more years of experience are strongly preferred. About Us
Lahey Hospital and Medical Center’s Interventional Cardiology program is an ACC accredited HeartCARE Center of National Distinction of Excellence, located in Burlington, MA. The Cardiac Cath Lab at Lahey is a high-volume center with established programs for Structural Heart Disease, CHIP/CTO, and Peripheral Vascular Disease. The Lahey network also has several labs within the network that are supported by our physicians. The Division of Cardiology consists of fifty-two Cardiologists and a supportive team of thirty-five Advanced Practitioners treating patients in seven cardiovascular subspecialties. The Lahey integrated delivery system consists of over 1,200 clinicians providing care throughout Lahey Health’s network of hospitals, ambulatory centers, physician practice sites, behavioral health facilities, long-term care facilities, home health organizations and care management. An academic appointment at the University of Massachusetts Chan School of Medicine will be available. Located just north of Boston, the area offers excellent school systems, cultural activities, and convenient access to the mountains and seacoast throughout New England. Key Responsibilities
Perform the full spectrum of structural procedures including TAVR, TEER of Mitral and Tricuspid valves, ASD and PFO closures, and paravalvular leak closures Support and grow structural heart disease medical device trials Establish a structural heart disease clinic at an affiliated facility Support Cath Lab coverage at multiple affiliated hospitals Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the network to provide high-quality care Perform diagnostic and percutaneous coronary interventions including complex PCI (atherectomy devices, support-device–assisted PCI, bifurcation and LM PCI, etc.) Perform all support device placements and explants Contribute to the growth and development of Lahey cardiology with a collaborative spirit and flexibility Qualifications
3 or more years of experience in structural interventional cardiology or related field (strongly preferred) Experience with TAVR/TEER and structural heart disease procedures Ability to work in a multi-site, outreach-focused environment Job Details
