Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated UAS Pilot to join our surveying and aerial mapping team. This role will support EHRA’s field operations by operating multiple drone platforms, managing LiDAR and photogrammetry payloads, and assisting survey crews in collecting ground control and checkpoints. The UAS Pilot will ensure safe and compliant operations while delivering high-quality data to support engineering and surveying projects. Typical Duties And Responsibilities Flight Operations

Operate and manage flight missions using multiple drone platforms (DJI systems, QGroundControl-based systems, etc.). Conduct pre-flight inspections, mission planning, and post-flight checks to ensure safety and compliance. Deploy and monitor LiDAR and photogrammetry payloads for aerial mapping projects. Upload, transfer, and organize flight data for processing by the data team. Survey Support Assist survey and engineering teams with aerial data acquisition. Provide support in integrating aerial data with ground survey results. Equipment & Compliance Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot UAS hardware, batteries, and related field equipment. Ensure compliance with FAA Part 107 regulations, airspace restrictions, and EHRA safety protocols. Track flight hours, maintenance logs, and regulatory requirements. Education, Certification, And Experience FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (required). Proven experience flying drones in professional/commercial settings. Familiarity with multiple flight control systems (DJI Pilot apps, QGroundControl, or similar). Valid driver’s license. Ability to work outdoors in varied conditions and travel to project sites. Ability to lift and carry 55+ pounds over short distances. Preferred Skills Collect ground control points and checkpoints utilizing GPS equipment. Experience operating drones equipped with LiDAR or photogrammetry payloads. Familiarity with GPS equipment for ground control/checkpoint collection. Surveying or mapping experience preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to field conditions.
