We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Access Solution Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative patient access solutions within healthcare environments. This key role bridges clinical, administrative, financial, and technological domains to optimize patient interactions through integrated hospital systems and cloud-based platforms.
Responsibilities:
Architect and Design: Lead the development of scalable, secure, and compliant patient access solutions integrating EHR, ERP, contact center, and cloud services.
Use Case Development: Identify, document, and optimize key patient interaction use cases across clinical, financial, administrative, and emotional support workflows.
Technology Leadership: Evaluate and recommend hospital systems (EHR, ERP), contact center platforms, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for large implementation projects.
Implementation Leadership: Oversee technical architecture, development, and deployment of patient access solutions, ensuring best practices, compliance (HIPAA, HITRUST), and reliability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with clinical, administrative, finance, and IT teams to align solution design with hospital objectives.
Development & Integration: Bring a strong development background to guide custom integrations, APIs, and automation processes in complex hospital environments.
Vendor Relations: Evaluate and coordinate with EHR/ERP vendors, contact center providers, and cloud service partners.
Security & Compliance: Ensure all solutions meet regulatory standards for patient data privacy and security.
Continuous Innovation: Stay current with emerging healthcare technologies, cloud advancements, and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: 15 years in healthcare IT, with extensive experience in hospital or healthcare enterprise systems.
Healthcare Systems Knowledge: Deep understanding of EHR (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and ERP solutions that support hospital operations.
Patient Interaction Expertise: Proven track record in designing patient engagement workflows—appointment scheduling, eligibility, billing, claims, patient portals, and digital front doors.
Technical Skills: Cloud platforms: AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud. Contact center platforms: Amazon Connect, Genesys, Cisco, or equivalent. Development: Strong background in software engineering, APIs, integrations, and automation. Data security and compliance standards (HIPAA, HITRUST).
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead complex large-scale implementations, working across technical, clinical, and administrative teams.
Communication: Excellent stakeholder engagement, presentation, and documentation skills.
Certifications (preferred): AWS Solutions Architect, Healthcare IT certifications, Project Management (PMP, PMI-ACP)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or higher preferred)
Travel is based on client needs and typically between 25-50% per engagement; however, it can be up to 75%. At Impact Advisors, we are committed to transparency and equity in our compensation practices. The compensation for this role includes a salary range of $154,000 to $210,000 and may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus.
