Double Oak Veterinary Medical Center is located in Double Oak, Texas, nestled just outside of Dallas, near Denton and Flower Mound. Double Oak has a rapidly growing population and a lot to offer its residents. We are full service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats. We are looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our expanding team and help us provide excellent experiences for our clients and their pets. Position Skills: Professional client communication and education, obtaining medical histories and symptoms Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols for fellow staff members Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring Proficient in dental prophylaxis Position Requirements: Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
