Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in ILL
Familiarity with copyright and its application in libraries. Experience working in an academic library. Familiarity with systems and software within the borrowing services unit (ALMA/PRIMO, ILLiad, Moodle, Sling).
Education Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications

Department Statement Colgate University Libraries seeks a detail-oriented individual with a commitment to providing patrons with exceptional service. As a member of the Borrowing Services Department, the Interlibrary Loan Coordinator works collaboratively with an additional ILL Coordinator to support the smooth operation and delivery of resource sharing services to Colgate's faculty, staff, students, and interlibrary loan partners.
Accountabilities
Provide on-site support for all aspects of resource-sharing duties involving lending and borrowing library materials in a variety of formats. Verify and process ILL requests through ILLiad, OCLC, and RapidILL, ensuring compliance with ALA and applicable copyright laws. Troubleshoot issues related to interlibrary loan and find practical solutions that prevent the disruption of circulation activities and workflows. Maintain statistical information for ILL. Train, schedule, and supervise student workers within the unit. Manage supplies inventory and make ordering recommendations to the department manager. Maintain, revise, and update departmental procedures and documentation as needed. Manage fees and bills related to ILL. Work with the Borrowing Services Manager to resolve any discrepancies. Serve as a back-up staff member for library services and operations within Borrowing Services.
