We are seeking an experienced
Enterprise Services Engineer (Exchange SME)
to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise Microsoft Exchange environments. This role provides technical leadership in data management, messaging architecture, automation, and system integration in a classified mission-critical ecosystem. Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership in enterprise data and messaging solutions with a focus on
Microsoft Exchange
(on-prem, hybrid, Exchange Online). Architect and implement
Exchange infrastructure , including migrations, integrations, and new deployments.
Develop
PowerShell scripts
to automate administrative tasks and improve efficiency across the enterprise.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex Exchange issues across on-prem and cloud environments.
Collaborate with other IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure secure, high-performance email and messaging systems.
Create and maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and technical knowledge articles.
Participate in enterprise information/data management and governance initiatives.
Apply data modeling, metadata management, and IT architecture standards across messaging solutions.
Drive innovation and improvements in Exchange architecture, performance, and reliability.
Support system architecture planning in coordination with broader infrastructure and network teams.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Minimum of
8 years with BS/BA ,
6 years with MS/MA , or
3 years with PhD
Additional 4+ years of experience
may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Security Clearance: TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI
Certifications: Must hold a
current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level III certification
(e.g.,
CASP )
Technical Experience: Strong knowledge of
Microsoft Exchange Server
(on-prem, hybrid, Exchange Online, M365)
Proficiency with
PowerShell scripting
for task automation
Working knowledge of
Active Directory, SharePoint metadata, Exchange databases , and supporting services
Experience with both
physical and virtual infrastructure
running operating systems such as
Windows, Linux, Solaris, UNIX, or AIX
Desired Qualifications:
ITIL Foundations certification
Familiarity with enterprise data governance, metadata management, and messaging best practices.
Experience supporting classified or DoD IT environments.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
