Academic Clinical Immunologist

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is seeking to recruit an academically-oriented Clinical Immunologist for a tenure-track/tenured, fixed-term, or variable track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
The faculty member will serve roles in the Immunology, Flow Cytometry, and Histocompatibility Laboratories of UNC Hospitals. Clinical duties include review and sign off of test results, quality control/assurance data, test development/validation and provision of consultative services including on-call coverage.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements : The candidate must have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD. Postdoctoral fellowship training in Clinical Histocompatibility (ASHI approved) and Medical Laboratory Immunology are required. MDs must meet CLIA required training and experience requirements for histocompatibility testing and be licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience : Experience in clinical molecular genetic testing, especially next generation sequencing for infectious disease, and immune disorders is highly desirable.
