Join Our Team as an SAP Financial Accounting Process Leader! Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is on the hunt for a seasoned SAP FI Leader who will take charge of the successful implementation of the SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting module as we embark on an enterprise-wide digital transformation. In this influential role, you will align SAP FI capabilities with our financial processes, operational teams, regulatory requirements, and strategic objectives across our diverse utility businesses. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP FI modules (including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, and Closing Cockpit) within the S/4HANA environment. Collaborate with teams across the organization to establish a robust legal hierarchy and chart of accounts. Guide the design and configuration for cost allocations within the SAP S/4HANA system. Interface with finance and business stakeholders to gather requirements and transform them into functional and technical specifications. Oversee the development of RICEFW objects to customize and enhance the SAP FI system, ensuring improved automation of financial processes and data accuracy. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow within the organization. Conduct workshops, gap analyses, and blueprinting sessions with stakeholders in finance and operations. Manage and prioritize multiple workstreams to ensure timely project milestone delivery. Provide expert guidance on SAP FI-CO processes, including regulatory reporting, asset management, and intercompany transactions. Ensure proper synchronization of financial data between SAP modules (HR, Supply Chain, Asset Management, CIS). Support data migration, testing (unit, integration, UAT), and cutover planning activities. Integrate SAP FI solutions with various SAP modules and third-party systems to facilitate seamless data flow and financial reconciliation. Assist in developing and optimizing data extraction, transformation, and loading processes to enhance financial reporting and analysis. Act as a change champion by training and supporting end-users for effective use of SAP FI functionalities. Serve as the main liaison between business users, technical teams, and external vendors. Ensure compliance with internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, and industry best practices. Prepare data for internal and external audits, maintaining comprehensive documentation of data sources, processes, and controls related to financial data. Who You Are: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. 6+ years of hands-on SAP FI experience, including a minimum of 2 full-cycle implementations. Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA Finance capabilities and Fiori apps. Experience in the utilities industry (electric, gas, water) is preferred. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, regulatory reporting, and utility-specific financial processes. SAP certification in FI or S/4HANA Finance is a plus. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Work Arrangement: Hybrid Remote with periodic travel to Newark, DE (a minimum of 1 week a month).
