Full-Time | Immediate Hire Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-4:00PM About the Role: As an Intermodal Logistics Operator, you will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of shipping containers within our intermodal yard. You will operate specialized equipment such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, handling containers to support our logistics operations and ensuring timely freight movement. Key Responsibilities: Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the yard. Use top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes to stack, move, and organize containers. Conduct equipment inspections before and after use to ensure safety standards. Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate moves and tasks efficiently. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures. Qualifications: Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. Strong commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks. Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays. Basic communication skills and a strong team player. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Able to climb ladders and stairs on and off railcars. Valid driver's license required. Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check, physical examination, and drug screening. Availability to work 7:00AM-4:00PM, Monday-Friday. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in intermodal or rail yard operations. Familiarity with container handling equipment such as hostlers, top loaders, or cranes.
