About Soldier Hollow
Soldier Hollow Nordic Center is home to a state-of-the-art biathlon range that was used for the Salt Lake 2002 Winter Olympic Games. The facility also features a 31-kilometer trail system for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter, as well as mountain biking and hiking in the summer. It is a dynamic multi-use facility focused on developing and growing participation in winter sports in Utah. As a part of the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation, our mission is to cultivate champions in sport and in life, deliver experiences that inspire communities, and celebrate our Olympic Legacy for years to come.
About the role
As a Guest Services Representative you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while interacting with athletes, coaches, and guests.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
Check-In and Check-Out: Explain and sell the Tubing Hill Public Program. Verify guest information, process reservations, and issue tickets. Check-in guests and ensure all guests have signed a waiver via Smartwaiver. Customer Service:
Present a professional and knowledgeable welcome to athletes, coaches, and guests. Responsible for providing the public with current events information, answering questions about Solider Hollow functions and Team SoHo Programs. Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner. Handle phone calls and other forms of communication in a courteous manner. Address guest complaints or issues promptly and efficiently. Escalate more complex problems to a lead or supervisor if necessary. Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate records of guest information and transactions. Responsible for the daily operation of the Guest Services Desk area, set-up, open, close and communication protocols. Assist in selling inventory for Retail Shop and Concessions. Assist with any additional administrative and projects duties as assigned by Lead, Supervisor or Manager. Billing and Payments:
Process payments, including handling cash, credit/debit card transactions, and checks. Maintain cash/credit drawer, close out properly after each shift. Maintaining Cleanliness
Keep the counter area clean and organized. Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, counters, and doors. Empty and take garbage to dumpsters. Restock toilet paper and paper towels. Vacuum rugs and carpets Any opening and closing duties as requested. Complete all required in-house training.
All other job responsibilities as assigned.
Candidate Knowledge and Essential Skills
Experience working with the public. Friendly manner and excellent communications skills. Superior organizational, coordination, multi-tasking abilities with strong attention to detail. Must enjoy working in a team environment. General knowledge of Soldier Hollow Nordic Center, its purpose, and use for the future of Utah. Self-starter attitude. Ability to work with little supervision once daily direction has been given. Willing to be flexible, completing additional tasks as needed, such as serving as parking attendant, ticket sales, or filling in for other staff when needed. Strong computer skills including proficiency with PC applications and Microsoft office programs. Knowledge of point-of-sale system (trained on site). Minimum Requirements
Minimum 16 years of age. Flexible work schedule - must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work outdoors in all temperature/weather extremes. Ability to lift 20 pounds. Must be able to stand on feet for extended time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Hearing - to converse with others in a normal conversation. Balancing, bending, climbing, kneeling, walking, pushing, reaching above shoulders, and sitting. Employee Benefits/Perks
