Principal Cyber Systems Engineer

to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will be supporting the

Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) Program

and will be in

Colorado Springs, CO at Schriever Space Force Base. We're looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented individual that understands security and the importance of our mission. The candidate will be responsible for performing standard security assessment of the systems and servers on the network, conducting vulnerability scanning, end point monitoring, working to develop and implement the ability to conduct Pentesting into the environment and more. Responsibilities: Conduct routine vulnerability assessment of the respective systems and servers on the network. Monitor, maintain and review requirements set aside by local policy for endpoint system management. Periodically conduct a complete review of each systems’ audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed. Assures the implementation of Cyber Security disciplines, including COMSEC, COMPUSEC, EMSEC, OPSEC, digital communications systems, network protocols and architectures, and penetration tools and techniques. Support the continuous assessment of IA Control compliance for systems within their responsibility. Document the results of Certification and Accreditation activities, technical or coordination activity, prepare the system Security Plans, and update the POA&M. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 5 years of technical experience in any combination of Cyber, Systems, Security, Software, or Hardware disciplines OR Master's degree with 3 years of technical experience in any combination of Cyber, Systems, Security, Software, or Hardware disciplines. Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+) or higher. Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher that has been granted / renewed within the past 6 years. Previous experience utilizing vulnerability assessment tools (Nessus/Security Center, Fortify, SCAP etc.) Previous experience managing/maintaining the ePolicy Orchestrator and utilizing endpoint monitoring tools (Trellix) Experience working in both Linux and Windows environments Experience in preparing and/or reviewing technical and programmatic documentation. Experience managing/maintaining/implementing Pentest practices into a DoD environment (Metasploit, Kali Linux, Wireshark, etc.) Preferred Qualifications: Working experience deploying and configuring Linux and Windows systems in accordance with DoD STIG requirements. Working knowledge of NIST 800-37 RMF body of evidence artifacts such as SSP, SCTM, PoA&M's, SAR, RAR, RAL, ConOps, ISA, etc. Familiarity operating in a SAFe Agile workplace. Demonstrated experience implementing security automation using tools like Tines or Ansible. Experience scripting security processes in efforts to establish redundant, consistent and automate baselines across multiple systems.
