JOB SUMMARY As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting products from our warehouse to various customers while ensuring accurate and efficient delivery and unloading according to company standards. 10 Paid Holidays! Well Maintained Equipment - All Automatics. Bi-Weekly pay. Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. Benefits start the 1st of the month after 31 days of employment. 401k and Sysco Stock Purchase Plan. Dedicated Routes (not applicable to Extra Board drivers). Evening Dispatch, Sunday - Friday. Most routes require no more than 36 hours. RESPONSIBILITIES: Safely unload products by hand or with a dolly, regardless of weather conditions, and place them in designated customer storage areas following company standards. Complete all necessary paperwork adhering to company and DOT guidelines (e.g., vehicle logs, inspections, maintenance reports). Ensure food safety protocols are strictly followed (e.g., maintaining proper temperatures, inspecting products before delivery). Build positive relationships with customers by providing courteous and exceptional service. Perform additional duties as assigned by Management. REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred. Completion of a driving school may substitute for part of the experience requirement. CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License; must be insurable to operate a vehicle. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting practices. Skills in long-distance driving, customer communication, and problem-solving. Ability to operate a tractor-trailer in various conditions and maintain productivity levels. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to sit, talk, and hear regularly, lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds, and push/pull up to 350 pounds using a hand cart. Requires climbing in and out of vehicles and maintaining vision acuity for safe driving. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions and mechanical equipment. Evening work, weekends, and holidays may be necessary.
