POSITION SUMMARY The IT Director – I&O & Security is responsible for leading the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the organization’s IT infrastructure and operational systems, while ensuring the highest levels of security, reliability, and performance. This role oversees core infrastructure services, general IT support, data centers, networks, cloud environments, end-user computing, service desk operations, and cybersecurity programs. LOCATION This position requires being on-site at our Fort Wayne location 5 days per week. Compensation This position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards. It consists of a base salary pay plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment. RESPONSIBILITIES

Define and execute the IT infrastructure, operations, and security strategy aligned with strategic business initiatives. Collaborate with PMO team to build roadmaps for modernization, cloud adoption, and cybersecurity maturity. Manage vendor and partner relationships to optimize cost, performance, and service delivery. Lead routine license audits and control costs according to budget. Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Infrastructure & Operations

Oversee the design, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure including cloud, on-premises servers, storage, networks, and telecommunications. Direct IT service delivery functions that include help desk, application support, incident management, and end-user support. Ensure high availability and performance of mission-critical systems and services. Manage capacity planning, monitoring, and optimization of IT assets. Security & Compliance

Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards. Oversee identity and access management, endpoint security, and vulnerability management. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, depending on industry). Lead incident response, threat detection, and remediation efforts. Conduct security awareness and training programs for employees. Team Leadership & Management

Lead and mentor IT infrastructure, operations, and security teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Establish KPIs, SLAs, and reporting metrics to measure and improve performance. Develop and manage budgets for IT infrastructure, operations, and security functions. REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (master’s preferred). 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, operations, and security roles with at least 5 years in leadership. Track record of balancing strategic planning with tactical, day-to-day management. Proven experience managing enterprise IT environments, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and security programs. Strong knowledge of networking, systems, cloud, and enterprise security. Strong understanding of ITIL practices, automation, and zero-trust security principles. Strategic thinker with the ability to align technology with business needs. Strong leadership and people management skills with experience building high-performing teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset for tackling multiple initiatives. NICE TO HAVE
