Summary:

Responsible for performing daily warehouse operations to ensure the safe, accurate receipt, storage, and retrieval of inventory for production needs. Acts as a backup CDL driver, operating a yard dog style tractor to transport materials between the local offsite warehouse and production facility, and to manage trailer exchanges within the yard. Duties / Responsibilities:

Drives a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count product.

Loads/Unloads delivery trucks using a forklift, pallet jack, hand cart, or by hand if necessary.

Ensures inbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; reports quality variances to the Receiving Clerk and Warehouse Supervisor.

Efficiently moves product to storage areas, and removes for staging to production line(s) in correct locations.

Pulls and prepares product for production, matching requests with the exact number and type of material.

Operates robot trolleys to store pallets in racking.

Serves as back up CDL Driver, transporting materials to/from offsite location and exchanging trailers within the yard.

Required Skills / Abilities:

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A required.

2+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred.

Clean driving record with no moving violations.

Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles.

Alert, focused, and detail-oriented.

Physically and mentally fit.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.

Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment, including a forklift.

Ability to communicate effectively and read/interpret documents.

Experience in warehouse operations.

Able to pass a background check and drug test.

Education and Experience:

1-2 years' experience in warehouse operations.

High School diploma or GED required.

Bi-lingual Spanish a plus.

Certified forklift experience, or the ability to pass certification test.

Work Hours:

Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm with occasional overtime as required.
