Attorney (Government Contracts Mid-level Associate or Counsel)

is seeking a mid-level associate or counsel with three to five years of experience in government contracts law for the Firm’s Washington, DC office. Whiteford’s government contracts practice primarily focuses on representing clients contracting with the Department of Defense and other national security related agencies. Relevant experience working in private practice and/or in U.S. Government procurement-related attorney positions will be considered. Key areas of experience include: Providing guidance on procurement programs across the federal government with a focus on the Department of Defense/U.S. Military Knowledge and experience advising clients under the FAR and DFAR regulations Bid protests Requests for Equitable Adjustment (REAs) Litigation experience before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals and/or the U.S. Civilian Board of Contract Appeals Joint venture agreements, teaming agreements, subcontract reviews Contract terminations, suspension and debarment proceedings Experience handling issues with the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DCSA) Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Foreign Ownership, Control or Influence (FOCI) Facility Clearances Familiarity with export controls (ITAR/EAR) Familiarity with government contracting cybersecurity requirements (e.g., CMMC) Salary commensurate with experience.
