Direct message the job poster from Optomi Optomi, in partner with a global leading entertainment and media services company, is looking for a Communications / Project Engineer to support a major infrastructure project. This role will be based in Burbank/Glendale, CA, and will act as a project manager for layer one (cabling) work, sight walks, estimates, contractor coordination, and required meetings with business units. This individual will serve as the single point of contact for small to medium-sized construction projects, working closely with Network Services and business stakeholders to ensure successful design and delivery of communications infrastructure. Responsibilities
Leading design and deployment of structured cabling, telecom rooms, riser backbones, OSP pathways, and physical layer infrastructure. Conducting site audits, developing design documents, producing BOMs, and reviewing architectural and engineering drawings. Coordinating with general contractors, electrical/cabling vendors, network/wireless teams, and service providers. Managing project schedules, budgets, RFIs, and construction administration activities. Reviewing and marking up drawings using Bluebeam and AutoCAD. Ensuring compliance with EIA/TIA standards, building codes, and division 27 requirements. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM. This is primarily an on-site role; candidates must be comfortable with being on-site 4 days a week. Senioriy / Qualifications
