The role is located at our Cranberry Township, PA or Rock Hill, SC facility with a hybrid schedule (on site 2 days per week). The base salary range is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year and depends on experience, qualifications and skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and analyses of the AP1000 and AP300 power plant systems, in collaboration with component, system, and manufacturing leads.

Coordinate with the testing organization to develop plans for functional and qualification testing.

Work with project managers and subsystem/component leads to develop project schedules.

Lead complex technical projects, coordinating diverse teams to meet project goals within schedule and budget.

Identify and define technical issues, risks and challenges, and direct efforts toward successful resolution.

Bring engineering rigor to the resolution of problems that may be loosely defined, leveraging your discipline experience.

Incorporate industry, regulatory, NRC/DOE/AMSE codes, standards, and criteria pertinent to nuclear reactors in design activities.

Provide technical guidance and collaborate with personnel including partners such as national laboratories, sub-contractors, partners, suppliers, fabricators, and customers.

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred); alternate degrees with component design experience considered (e.g., nuclear, aerospace, structural engineering, materials science).

Mechanical PE license.

Familiarity with advanced reactor technology and designs (preferred); knowledge of system and component level design.

Knowledge and experience with HVAC.

Significant technical leadership experience (individual contributor or leading a small technical team) in design, analysis and manufacturing.

Experience with mechanical behavior of materials and components under irradiation conditions.

Minimum 8+ years of experience (or 6+ years with an advanced degree); 10+ years preferred.

US Citizenship or Permanent Residence.
