Assist with the design of the Electric Propulsion System (EPS) production system, including line layout, manufacturing processes and automation, installation, and overall battery production ramp planning for a new manufacturing facility Apply expert knowledge of Electric Motors and manufacturing processes to collaborate with and influence Product Design Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Facilities teams in the development of a new EPS for an eVTOL aircraft Drive the Design for Manufacturability efforts with the product design team Determine requirements for automation, tools, stands, fixtures, etc. Develop the manufacturing Build Plan (line layout, manufacturing methods, part flow, tools, equipment, precedence network, etc.) and determine an appropriate MBOM Conduct process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA) for the EPS production system Develop specifications for tooling and automation equipment Develop efficient manufacturing processes Oversee Final Acceptance Testing of manufacturing equipment Create/approve work instructions for Battery assembly and installation Support first unit builds and testing of the production system Develop and improve equipment validation procedures including calibration and qualification What You Need

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent 3-6 years of work experience, EV or aerospace preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Effective organizational and time management skills Efficient documentation and written communication Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment with adaptability to changing priorities Direct hands-on build experience with mechanical and electronic assemblies using sophisticated manufacturing equipment Demonstrated experience in statistical process control and GD&T Experience developing production lines from prototype to mass production Experience commissioning and improving equipment with a track record of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement; preventative and predictive maintenance experience preferred Strong organizational skills Experience with CAD, PLM, MES, and ERP software Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to learn systems quickly; familiarity with structured problem-solving techniques (Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, Ishikawa, 5 Why, 8D) preferred Bonus Qualifications

Hands-on experience with EV Drive Unit (DU) manufacturing Experience with rotor, stator, and gearbox assembly processes in an EV DU Ability to travel 10% of the time EV/eVTOL knowledge or experience Experience with high voltage wiring, batteries, and electric motors Aircraft configuration management and conformity experience NX and AutoCAD experience Equal Opportunity and Accessibility
