JMT is seeking a construction project manager in the Washington, DC area for an opportunity to work with the federal government. The construction project manager will provide construction project oversight using knowledge of general engineering and construction principles and practices to interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate and execute. Compensation

Compensation for this position is $110,000.00 - $135,000.00, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The range is a good faith estimate; actual salary may vary based on qualifications. Essential skills and responsibilities

Provide construction management oversight during all phases of the project Assist with the creation and maintenance of project schedules Assist in the preparation and updating of cost estimates Assist in preparation of project budgets Prepare reports and logs such as inspector daily reports, cost to date, estimated cost to complete, submittals, RFIs, etc. Manage project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplines Required Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Proficient written and verbal communication skills Strong work ethic. Willing to do what it takes to get the job done Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Required Experience

10 years' experience as construction project manager of construction projects Prior experience managing Quality Assurance (QA) programs Prior experience working on vertical federal construction projects US Government Secret security clearance Preferred Experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architectural or a related field from an accredited program Knowledgeable with CPM scheduling; experience with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project Experience with Federal law enforcement OSHA Certification Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Experience working with governmental agencies at the federal, city, county and state levels Knowledgeable in construction testing, inspection and commissioning requirements Working Conditions

Work is performed in both an office and field (construction) environment. Office to field time is approximately 20% to 80% respectively. Field work requires climbing, walking and standing at a construction site and may be outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs.) may be required.
