Overview

High-Speed Test and Validation Engineering Manager at TE Connectivity. Lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the electrical validation and qualification of high-speed cable assembly products targeting data center and wireless infrastructure applications. This is a pivotal leadership role requiring deep technical acumen, strategic vision, and strong collaboration across hardware, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams. You will own the entire validation lifecycle—from design concept through production verification—ensuring product compliance with electrical and software specifications. Using advanced tools and methodologies, you will guide complex interconnect designs to successful launch and sustained quality in the field. Responsibilities

Direct and mentor engineers and technicians executing validation, DVT (Design Verification Testing), and coordinate qualification efforts for high-speed cable assemblies. Define testing requirements aligned with product specifications and performance criteria. Lead end-to-end development of high-speed cable test systems and fixtures—from architectural design to manufacturing deployment. Interface with product design, systems, and manufacturing teams to align validation plans and resolve issues. Analyze lab and field data to identify issues, drive root-cause investigations, and recommend improvements. Produce detailed test reports, validation protocols, and executive summaries to support project milestones and certifications. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred. 10+ years of experience in high-speed test engineering or related hardware roles. System architecture and fixture design for electrical validation. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Experience managing technical teams and working across design, development, and manufacturing. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work globally across time zones with diverse teams. Preferred Skills

Familiarity with signal conditioning: equalization, FIR filters, CTLEs, etc. Knowledge of relevant specifications (e.g., IEEE, SFF standards). Understanding of advanced modulation schemes (PAM4, PAM8). Background in Six Sigma or advanced data analytics. Location, Travel, and Requisition

Compensation: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience; $149,000 – $212,000 (location-dependent). Total compensation includes base salary, incentives, and benefits.
