Sandisk is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join the Memory Technology team in Milpitas, CA. The ideal hire will collaborate with all internal functions (design, device, firmware, test, system, marketing, packaging, quality, reliability, and manufacturing) to develop and bring a Mobile/SSD product to market. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining a product test flow that balances cost, quality, and time to market while meeting internal and external requirements. The engineer will also take a leading role in resolving HW (PKG/NAND/ASIC) related failures during development and will work with the manufacturing team post-qualification to proactively improve yield, test cost, and quality. Responsibilities
Create the test strategy for new embedded Flash products based on customer requirements, engineering specifications, and device characteristics. Demonstrate strong analytical skills, structured problem solving, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing directions. Work effectively in a team while demonstrating leadership when needed and maintain strong ownership of projects and results. Modify/Write Python scripts to perform data analysis with statistical libraries. Qualifications
Required: Current student pursuing a BS, MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with a graduation date before July 2026. Expected start date July 2026. Minimum 3.0 GPA Strong technical skills in the area of study Interest in flash memory, semiconductor, components, nonvolatile memory industry Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Experience with Windows and Linux server storage environments Analog and digital design and simulation experience Preferred: Specialization in analog design, digital design, or device physics related field Hands-on experience with electronic lab equipment Skills
Python/C development skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Compensation & Benefits Details
Pay is determined by factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, location, and organizational needs. Salary ranges may vary by location and may be modified in the future. Eligibility for Short-Term Incentive (STI) and Long-Term Incentive (LTI) programs where applicable.
