Overview

The Technical Sales Support is responsible for presenting and evangelizing the company’s products and services to prospects and customers. The Technical Sales Support will leverage technical, industry knowledge and project expertise to help solicit business requirements, develop project pricing, address technical issues and questions throughout the sales cycle, and effectively demonstrate the company’s solutions. Starting Salary: $80k Essential Functions And Basic Duties

Architect and present engineering solutions for company products and provide customer/market feedback on new requests. Engage technology decision makers within accounts to understand short and long-term requirements and work with sales to develop comprehensive solutions to close business. Participate in pre-sales activities including technical presentations, architecture design discussions, RFP/RFQ/RFI responses, solution demonstrations, and technical workshops. Prepare and present customized technical presentations and demos online or onsite to explain current and future strategies, products, services, and company information. Develop full proposal pricing plans addressing complex business, technical and project requirements. Clearly communicate business and technology feature-sets and address infrastructure, hardware, software, networking, integration and security requirements. Participate in product sales and certification to maintain necessary knowledge. Assess potential applications of company products and offer solutions meeting customer needs. Collaborate with Trainer for administrative and end-user training; ensure products are effectively utilized. Collaborate with Implementation Project Manager for smooth transition of sales orders to implementation. Communicate customer feedback for future product development; support leadership in joint ventures, affiliations, and partnerships. Contribute to brand consistency and corporate identity within the company and distribution channels. Show business awareness, teamwork and leadership; participate in professional societies related to telecoms, recording, contact center, public safety and CRM industries. Establish and maintain professional business relations with customers, distributors, vendors, partners and trade contacts; ensure requests are resolved promptly and information about products, programs, promotions is provided; maintain professional reputation. Assume responsibility for related duties as required; stay informed of trends in the sales industry; complete special projects as assigned. Qualifications

Education: BS/BA preferred in a business-related field or related discipline; or equivalent experience. Knowledge: Telecommunications marketplace, product positioning, professional services, sales engineering, government contracting and competitive bidding, database technologies, BI concepts. Experience: 5-8 years technical sales or sales engineering; experience in telecommunications or software sales; software demonstrations; advanced experience with CRM; proficiency with Office365, PowerPoint, Visio, etc. Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present to technical and executive audiences; strong presentation and customer-facing skills; ability to travel; strong problem solving and negotiation; ability to adapt to change; team orientation.
