Position Overview Key Responsibilities

Design, program, configure, and deploy SCADA hardware/software (e.g., HMIs, RTUs, PLCs). Ensure systems comply with industry standards, cybersecurity protocols, and regulatory guidelines. Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve system malfunctions, bugs, and integration issues. Conduct routine system maintenance, including software updates, patches, and backups. Analyze system performance and historical data to identify issues, inefficiencies, and improvements. Create and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams and configuration records. Guide the full lifecycle of projects: concept, performance specs, detailed design, implementation, and post-deployment support. Collaborate with engineers and project stakeholders to support and mentor junior team members. Maintain and develop a working knowledge of power system protection, relaying schemes, and electrical distribution systems. Support microgrid and municipal infrastructure projects across a range of client environments. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited institution. 8+ years of relevant SCADA/Automation/ADMS engineering experience, including 2+ years of direct experience with substation or power system distribution SCADA systems. Proficiency with SCADA platforms such as Strong understanding of industrial automation protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, etc.). Experience with PLC/RTU programming, integration, and configuration. Familiarity with network design and cybersecurity best practices for control systems. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams. Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred. Experience with microgrid systems, municipal utilities, or military base infrastructure. Working knowledge of Yokogawa, Ignition, or similar platforms. Familiarity with electrical utility standards, regulations, and SCADA compliance guidelines. Additional Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen (required for military site access). Must hold a valid driver’s license. Will be required to obtain Military Base Security Clearance.
