Mechanical Project Manager - HVAC & Plumbing Systems Engineering

The
Mechanical Project Manager
will lead and manage
mechanical and plumbing design projects
of varying sizes and complexities. You will be responsible for
project planning, scope, budget, schedule, quality control, and client coordination , ensuring successful project delivery. This role requires a strong background in
HVAC, piping, duct design, hydronic systems, refrigeration, air-handling equipment, thermal plants, and fire protection systems . Key Responsibilities
Lead Mechanical/Plumbing Design Projects
from initial planning through construction. Oversee and perform
engineering calculations, HVAC load studies, energy modeling, and code reviews . Manage and mentor junior engineers, providing
quality control
and technical guidance. Coordinate project designs to meet
client specifications
and
local/state/federal codes . Conduct field investigations and resolve mechanical issues during construction. Develop
project budgets, schedules, and scope
while monitoring performance. Prepare and deliver
client presentations, proposals, and project updates . Manage internal mechanical teams, multi-discipline teams, and subconsultants. Ensure
project quality, safety, and compliance
with all applicable regulations. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited). 12+ years
of mechanical engineering experience in HVAC and plumbing system design. Professional Engineer (PE) License
OR EIT with the ability to obtain PE within 6-12 months. Proficiency in
Revit, AutoCAD , and building load simulation software (IESVE, Carrier HAP preferred). Strong knowledge of
mechanical/plumbing codes, building codes, and energy standards . Excellent
project management, organizational, and communication skills . Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
applications. Valid driver's license and ability to pass company motor vehicle screening. Preferred Qualifications
CxA, BCxP, CAPM, or PMP
certification. Experience with
industrial mechanical/plumbing systems
and/or fire protection design. Familiarity with multiple delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3). Business development and client relationship management experience. Why Join Us?
