100% Remote A growing organization is seeking a IT Engineering Director to lead its enterprise engineering and operations function. This role oversees critical technology infrastructure, including Azure cloud services, Windows server environments, and end-user computing platforms (laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and peripherals). The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with deep technical expertise and a proven ability to scale enterprise IT environments. Responsibilities
Lead and mentor engineering and operations teams responsible for enterprise server, cloud, and end-user environments. Define and implement engineering frameworks, standards, and roadmaps across the organization. Oversee project delivery and drive automation of operational workloads to improve efficiency and accuracy. Establish and maintain SLAs and operational effectiveness for core IT systems. Direct the design, testing, and deployment of innovative, emerging technologies. Manage the full lifecycle of enterprise infrastructure projects in partnership with the PMO. Provide strategic oversight for cloud architecture, disaster recovery, security, and automation standards. Ensure best practices in end-user and mobile device management, including O365, Intune, Active Directory, and related systems. Deliver operational guidance to service desk, field support, and secondary support functions. Monitor performance, reliability, and scalability of enterprise systems, recommending and implementing improvements. Develop succession planning and long-term IT engineering strategies aligned with organizational goals. Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years in IT engineering leadership, ideally as a director or senior-level manager. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. Technical Expertise: Strong background in operating systems, infrastructure management, Azure cloud services, and enterprise IT operations. Methodologies: Familiarity with ITIL, ITSM, and enterprise operational frameworks. Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with proven ability to manage budgets and deliver results.
