EMC Test Engineer, Optimus at Tesla. The role focuses on Electromagnetic Compatibility testing for autonomous robot and automotive electronic products, supporting product validation testing for current and next generation Tesla systems. What You'll Do

Conduct EMC testing on Tesla modules to ensure seamless integration into Optimus, vehicle systems, and associated platforms, while also performing comprehensive validation tests at both the bot and vehicle levels Generate EMC test plans and test reports Coordinate EMC testing with 3rd party laboratories and lead product readiness for EMC testing Review, analyze, and interpret EMC test results; communicate accordingly to cross functional teams Facilitate the preparation of Optimus, vehicle systems, and electronics modules for EMC testing by utilizing specialized shop tools to disassemble trim or components, followed by the installation of instrumentation and communication equipment Collaborate with cross-functional and EMC design teams to determine and execute design of experiments and troubleshooting efforts Collaborate with design teams in all phases of electronic product development for EMC, including prototype, verification, and validation Perform product change assessment for EMC and identify applicable EMC tests to satisfy EMC specification and homologation/regulatory requirements Develop and validate EMC test setups for emissions and immunity per test methods such as CISPR25, ISO-11452-2, -4, -8, -10, ISO-7637-2, -3, ISO-10605, FCC Part 15, CISPR 32, IEC 61000-6-2, IEC 61000-6-4, IEC 61000-6-7, IEC 61000-4-2, -3, -4, -5, -6, -8, -11 What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s in Engineering with 2 years of experience in EMC testing, or the equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability Experience performing EMC testing. Desirable EMC testing for industrial, robotic, and automotive Experience with EMC test automation software. Familiar with EMC32, BAT-EMC, TEAL, or TOYO EMC is a plus Working knowledge on instruments required for EMC testing such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, transient generators, antennas, coupling clamps, field probes, ESD simulators, etc. Experience in generating detailed EMC test reports Basic understanding of Electromagnetic theory applied to EMC testing Working knowledge of analog and digital electronics Hands-on experience in debugging radiated and conducted emissions and immunity issues Familiar with communication protocols like CAN, LIN, Ethernet, USB for product instrumentation and communication monitoring for EMC testing is a plus Understanding of ISO-17025 laboratory accreditation process and maintenance is a plus Benefits and Compensation
