Overview Field Service Engineer - Sweden. Location: Lidingo, SE. This is a permanent, field-based role primarily covering Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway. The role involves installing and upgrading systems and software at customer locations, ensuring that OIPT equipment is fully operational and ready for use. There will be regular extensive travel in the Nordic region and occasionally the EMEA area.

Responsibilities

Carry out commissioning of equipment including any operational and maintenance training requirements.

Respond to emergency breakdowns for warranty and service contract work.

Report regularly to the EMEA Team Leader on all relevant issues and for PDR objectives.

Provide a visit report for each customer visit, detailing work completed, outstanding issues, time spent on site, travelling, etc., and help ensure that all chargeable work is invoiced to the customer promptly.

Authorise system buy-off prior to shipment either with or in the absence of the customer.

Liaise with technical support and systems engineering on any potential or actual system problems.

Liaise with Sales Team to provide useful background information.

Help to maintain an accurate record of the status of systems, timing of warranty, parts supplied and service contracts.

Keep up to date all relevant enquiries and project files on any significant information.

Provide detailed and accurate records of expenses incurred on behalf of the Company.

Qualifications

Formal Electronic qualification.

Substantial relevant experience and training.

Ability to interpret Electrical and Mechanical drawings.

Good PC / PLC experience preferred.

Experience in Semiconductor (desirable) or closely related high-tech electronic industry.

Fluent English speaker; a second European language would be a plus.

Driving licence.

Be prepared for extensive travel up to 90%.

Able to work on own initiative and prioritise multiple tasks.

Clear and concise communicator.
