A respected and well-established general contractor is seeking a
Senior Estimator
to lead preconstruction efforts for high-profile projects. This role plays a critical part in driving strategic pursuits and delivering competitive bids on projects ranging from $20M–$50M across the commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, and multifamily sectors. As a key member of the team, you’ll leverage your deep understanding of construction means and methods, estimating tools, and market dynamics to develop accurate budgets and guide project strategy from concept through handoff. Responsibilities
Prepare detailed conceptual and hard-bid estimates across multiple project types Lead bid strategy, subcontractor outreach, scope reviews, and bid-day execution Conduct site walks and interface with subcontractors, owners, and internal stakeholders Utilize platforms such as On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, and SmartBid to manage estimates Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and leadership to ensure continuity from preconstruction through delivery Qualifications
5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction (field experience a plus) Strong understanding of CSI divisions, construction assemblies, and cost drivers Proven ability to manage multiple estimates with competing deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project; experience with estimating software Bachelor\'s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred Why This Role
