Join us on our journey to becoming the world’s #1 FPGA company!**About the Role:**Altera’s Silicon Design Automation (SDA) Group is seeking an **EDA/IP Tech Lead** to drive strategic and operational initiatives across our design automation and IP management landscape. This role is pivotal in ensuring optimal license utilization, vendor engagement, and infrastructure readiness to support our global silicon design teams.**Key Responsibilities:****License Management & Optimization:*** Track and manage EDA tool licenses across projects and geographies* Rebalance license usage to maximize efficiency and minimize cost* Share weekly license usage reports with design teams**Vendor Engagement & Competitive Analysis:*** Lead technical and business discussions with EDA and IP vendors* Conduct competitive analysis to evaluate vendor offerings* Drive regular technical and management review meetings with vendors**Contract & Procurement Coordination:*** Collaborate with Procurement and Legal teams to ensure contracts are current and aligned with business needs* Support negotiations and renewals for EDA/IP tools and services**Infrastructure & Design Team Support:*** Define and manage infrastructure requirements for design automation tools* Work closely with architects and design teams to guide IP selection from third-party vendors* Ensure alignment between tool capabilities and design needsAt Altera, you’ll be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of silicon design.
