What’s the role? The XRM Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Engineering manages all aspects related to product quality and business process excellence development. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Consult with the Management team and employees to ensure all processes essential to the management system are developed, implemented, realized and sustained. Periodically review applicable laws, regulations, and standards to ensure continued compliance. Control of documents and records of local processes (participation to approval, release management thru ECO process, communication of approved documents, administration of process information center). Coordinate the continuous improvement process (CIP) at XRM. Escalate to the General Manager and RMS Board in case of deviations on the products and processes. Work with project engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified products. Collaborate in the development of acceptance tests and inspection criteria and procedures with project and systems engineering. Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations (capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance). Coordinate supplier management with the purchasing department to ensure qualified suppliers are selected, approved, and monitored. Guide efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety/security systems. Provide input to a risk management plan to anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could impact plant operations. Provide technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel. Apply value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign and make/buy decisions. Analyze existing business processes with process owners to evaluate current capabilities and identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. Develop detailed methods and procedures and job aids for new processes. Understand business processes in detail, advise and train cross-functional teams. Lead cross-functional team meetings focused on process improvement. Create business process flows and activity diagrams using value stream mapping tools. Define process metrics and performance goals with process owners. Measure performance of new processes and systems through metrics collection and analysis. Establish training of processes and sub-processes throughout the organization. Support development project plans to track deliverables of process improvement teams across functions and initiatives. Ensure continued use and improvement of the process by shepherding the methodology and assisting process users. Apply Data Analysis techniques, including: Statistical Process Control; Reliability modeling and prediction; Fault tree analysis; Six Sigma Lean & PDCA Tools & Methodology; Root cause analysis methods (RDFA/FMEA/5WHY/FISHBONE/8D); FRACAS (Failure reporting, analysis and corrective action systems). Qualifications
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering or relevant field. 7+ years of industry experience. Experience with Quality Management systems. Experience with quality control methodologies and tools (e.g., JMP; Minitab). Lean & Six Sigma knowledge. Experience with audits. Evidence of structured and reliable work habits. Excellent communication skills. A leader who develops leaders. Compensation and Benefits
The annual pay range for this position is $141,000 – $176,000. The pay offered may be influenced by factors such as location, scope, qualifications, education, experience, and role complexity.
