Senior Design Engineer
to take the lead in developing advanced mechanical components and brazed assemblies that power next-generation flight and defense systems. In this role, you’ll be hands-on with concept development, detailed design, and product optimization, guiding complex projects from initial ideas through full lifecycle support. Lead the design of precision-machined parts and complex brazed assemblies using
Creo CAD
tools. Engineer
lightweight, robust, and thermally efficient solutions
that meet demanding aerospace and defense standards. Develop and optimize brazed joint designs for high-temperature environments, ensuring material compatibility and manufacturability. Partner closely with manufacturing, quality, and materials engineering to deliver cost-effective, production-ready designs. Perform
FEA and tolerance analysis
to validate performance under extreme thermal, vibrational, and structural conditions. Drive technical excellence through design reviews, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices. Collaborate with customers and suppliers, acting as a technical ambassador for design intent and product requirements. Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and customer-specific aerospace standards. What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in
Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering , or related discipline. 7+ years of experience in aerospace and/or defense mechanical design. Proven expertise in
precision machining, tight tolerance design, and brazed assemblies . Strong knowledge of
GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and CNC machining processes
(milling, turning, grinding). Proficiency with
Creo (CAD)
and FEA software. Familiarity with
vacuum or dip brazing , thermal stress analysis, and high-temperature materials. Experience working with
DoD primes
(Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, etc.) and knowledge of defense contracting requirements. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Bonus: Experience with
