Overview
The Supervisor, Billing and Follow Up - Commercial has direct operational accountability for billing and follow up for multiple service lines of business, including all assigned payers, across all Swedish acute ministries, including critical access hospitals, rural health clinics, provider based clinics and hospital based profee billing, including specialty service lines but are not limited to Clients, Third Party Liability, Behavioral Health, Research, and Global/Bundle arrangements. This role assists in developing and executing a strategic plan to accomplish the goals for the commercial, other government and specialty service lines of business, in partnership with the leaders of Providence RCS Services. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or related field --or-- equivalent education and experience Demonstrated experience in managing all aspects of billing follow-up, denial management – reporting and reimbursement recovery, including patient accounting, third-party payor billing and EDI billing experience in a business office that supports a multiple hospital healthcare system Experience with Critical Access Hospital (CAH) billing and collections, CAH regulatory guidelines, Swing bed rules, SNF billing rules and follow-up processes, Rural Health Clinic rules, Provider Based Clinic rules in a CAH setting, Professional fee billing in both a clinical and Acute Hospital setting, SNF consolidated billing rules, Medicaid TAD claim submission rules, CAH Method I and Method II Billing rules, CRNA Pass Through Exemption, and Provider Based Clinic Billing Preferred Qualifications
4 years related experience in healthcare, revenue cycle or finance. 3 years leadership experience. Epic Experience. Experience with Reference Lab Billing rules. Benefits
