How you’ll serve our patients:
A Day in the Life - Behavioral Health Counselors - YouTube As a patient care professional at ERC Pathlight, you can expect to be part of a team that delivers hands-on treatment, therapy sessions, and support to our patients across various centers nationwide. The BHT works under the supervision of the Nursing department and is responsible for the direct care of inpatient and residential patients by providing supervision and support. You will serve patients daily in multiple ways: Milieu Management, including: Maintaining daily program structure following the program schedule Completing observation rounds and safety checks as ordered by the physician Working with patients on de-escalation and implementing coping skills per treatment plan Providing patient transportation for medical appointments (may vary by location) Taking patient vital signs, weights, urine specific gravity (may vary by location) Other nursing support duties as assigned Acting as secondary support in group therapy (may vary by location) Assisting with morning routines and Activities of Daily Living while patients are in spa/bathroom Meal support and bathroom monitoring, including flush checks for patients in eating disorder programs Completing documentation of patient observations, meals, and individual check-ins during shifts BHT Must Haves: High School Graduate/GED (Required) Associate's Degree (Preferred) Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (Required) Psych Tech or CNA experience (Preferred) 6+ months of direct patient care/milieu experience (preferred) BHT II Must Haves: High School Graduate/GED (Required) Bachelor’s degree (Preferred) 1 year of Behavioral Health experience (Required) Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (Required) Minimum of 1 year of ERC milieu experience (for internal teammates only) How We Invest In You Every role at ERC Pathlight is vital to delivering high-quality care.
