Hamilton Mayer is pleased to continue our partnership with a fantastic multi-disciplinary general contractor as they put plans in motion for expansion over the next 5-10 years. They are an industry giant offering both vertical and horizontal construction services leading projects as a tier 1 contractor valuing $1 billion+. Job Profile: The Director of Preconstruction will be responsible for overseeing the development of the Dallas office healthcare and higher education strategies, offering world-class leadership qualities. You will also help implement key initiatives and ensure that the commercial organization is able to sell their value proposition to its target industries. In addition, you will collaborate with the estimating and project teams to develop and maintain optimum efficiency during core bid periods. Key Responsibilities: Your key responsibilities will fall under the following areas: Ensure up-to-date knowledge of the Dallas Healthcare and Higher Education markets, including insight on customer needs, trends, and key developments in the industry. Transform market trends and customer needs into concept and compelling value propositions. Create and update strategies in relation to work-winning opportunities and ensure the business plans support these. Ensure key elements of pre-construction strategies are implemented across the commercial building arm – in particular, driving growth across the healthcare and higher education sectors. Lead, develop, and maintain an internal network among key stakeholders. Marketing and Proposal Management: Ensure the organization is capable of developing exceptional market value bids to the commercial building sector, with the primary focus on the Dallas market. Direct estimating and project teams where needed. Develop the annual pre-construction strategies for executive leadership to review. Ensure the needs of the pre-construction teams for maximum efficiency are communicated to all relevant departments. Implementation: Drive and chair the Dallas strategy team, with the role potentially moving into a national role. Personally lead key projects related to the Commercial Building market, installing all necessary policies and procedures across the healthcare and higher education divisions. Oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives to timeframe and scope. Requirements: The ideal appointment for this opening must have worked within the pre-construction team with experience on significant projects, specifically working for a main contractor. Strong background of securing large commercial projects ranging from $50-100m in value. Educated to degree level or higher in Construction Management or related, but not essential.
