Information Assurance Engineer
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an opening for an Information Assurance Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of the systems engineering process (concepts, principles, theories) within the system development life cycle Strong understanding of cybersecurity processes/guidelines for Assessment and Authorization, including NIST SP 800-37 and 800-53 for Risk Management Framework (RMF) Experience in implementing/applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and security policies/governance to ensure conformance to security controls Experience in conducting security assessments on various operating systems (Windows, Linux), Internet browsers, web servers, databases, network devices, and peripheral devices for vulnerability and compliance remediation Development of RMF body of evidence for verification of security controls, including security plans, security testing plans, Security Control Traceability Matrices (SCTM), and System Impact Analysis Perform routine security tasks using manual and automated tools/methods for STIG compliance and vulnerability scanning in a DevSecOps environment Effective in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions that affect cyber design and implementation Experience in the design, implementation, or assessment of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to engage and collaborate with project leaders, project teams, and external customers and cybersecurity stakeholders Active participation in cybersecurity working groups and Agile teams Creative thinker and self-starter that works under limited direction Strong understanding and use of Microsoft Office applications Must hold a Department of Defense active TS/SCI security clearance with an active Polygraph, and an active security certification (Security+ or CISSP) Position requires all work to be performed on-site in a classified facility
