Location: Rye Brook, NY Employment Type: Full-Time (Benefits Eligible) Shifts Available: 11:00 PM 7:30 AM 3:00 PM 11:30 PM About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Grossing Technician to join our pathology team. This role is eligible for a sign-on bonus and offers full benefits. We are open to both travelers and full-time candidates. The Grossing Tech will play a vital role in specimen preparation and support high-quality pathology services. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in specimen handling, gross description, and dissection processes. Key Responsibilities

Accession and label specimens appropriately. Perform gross description and dissection of routine surgical specimens. Maintain specimen and patient identification integrity at all times. Review clinical information to determine appropriate pathologic examinations. Examine specimens with an understanding of relevant pathologic conditions. Dictate findings in a clear and complete manner. Select pertinent tissue samples for slide preparation and provide photographs/diagrams when needed. Escalate non-routine or complex cases to Grossing Tech II or a Pathologist Assistant. Maintain laboratory cleanliness and comply with OSHA safety standards. Handle biohazardous and chemical materials safely. Participate in safety training and uphold compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. Protect confidentiality of patient, employee, client, and company information. Communicate effectively with management, co-workers, and clients. Support team-oriented workflows and meet departmental schedules. Work occasional overtime, on-call, or adjusted schedules as required. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications

Required: Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science, or medical laboratory technology. Minimum 1 year of laboratory training or experience in grossing (preferred). State licensure, if required by law. Preferred: 2+ years of grossing experience in a high-volume laboratory. Compensation

Hourly Range:
