Overview
Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Location: Lyndhurst, NJ (on-site at current New Jersey office; not remote). This position is based on-site with relocation not offered. Local candidates only. In late 2025, the company will relocate to a new office space in Lyndhurst, NJ. The HR Generalist will report to the Director of Human Resources and will be the sole HR person in the New Jersey office, working to support approximately 170 employees.
Vantage MedTech provides comprehensive design and manufacturing services to advance medical technologies from concept to product realization. We develop and manufacture products for conditions including heart failure, cancer, stroke, Gene Therapy, COPD, TBI, Atrial Fibrillation, Blood Clots, Brain Surgery, and more. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
Update and maintain the HRIS with new hires and terminations.
Administer benefit plans (add, remove, and reconcile members) and support open enrollment.
Conduct employee onboarding and create a positive new hire experience.
Create and coordinate the company newsletter.
Provide initial HR support on topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve issues promptly.
Assist in development and implementation of HR policies.
Support performance management activities.
Organize annual employee performance reviews.
Gather and analyze HR metrics (e.g., time to hire, turnover).
Promote HR programs to foster an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
Enhance job satisfaction by addressing issues, exploring new perks/benefits, and organizing team-building activities.
Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience in Human Resources.
3+ years of experience analyzing data, performing calculations, and producing reports.
Experience in a fast-paced environment with ability to adapt quickly to change.
Understanding of general HR policies and procedures.
Knowledge of employment/labor laws.
Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel).
Knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., UKG) is a plus.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
Aptitude for problem-solving and a team-oriented, results-driven approach.
BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field.
Additional HR training is a plus.
