Overview Cortex Team is Walmart’s core A.I. conversational platform, powering the vision of delivering the world’s best personal assistants to Walmart’s customers, accessible via natural voice commands, text messages, rich UI interactions, and multi-modal experiences. We are building and designing the next generation of Natural Language Understanding (NLU) services that other teams can easily integrate and leverage, and build rich experiences: from voice and text shopping assistants to customer care channels, to mobile apps with multi-modal interaction modes. We are seeking passionate and seasoned NLP data-scientists to help us improve and evolve our capabilities, considering the full conversational context and multi-modal interactions. This is an opportunity to influence the design, architecture, and implementation of an innovative, data-driven product used daily by people you know and loved by customers. As part of the emerging tech group, you will also have the opportunity to build demos, proofs of concept, white papers, and blogs.

What you'll do Work on improving and evolving NLP/NLU capabilities for multi-modal conversational experiences, taking into account conversational context and broad use cases.
