Senior BIM Specialist. This position is based out of any of our regional offices or fully remote. Responsibilities
Provide building information modeling (BIM) services for company projects and assist in developing fully constructible 3D models and detailed construction documents to support field electricians with complex installations. Collaborate with project managers and internal/external team members on project planning as required for each project. Produce constructable 3D model content and detailed electrical construction installation documents; complete 2D and 3D drafting tasks using standard company software (e.g., Autodesk software). Develop conceptual designs, sketches, or value engineering ideas to support estimates; prepare calculations, cable pull schedules, reports and other documents; coordinate with other staff as needed. Review shop drawings with vendors and project teams to ensure design accuracy and contract requirements; assist in developing engineered construction drawings from external contract documents. Attend BIM coordination meetings and maintain communication with all stakeholders; adjust plans based on feedback and escalate cost and scheduling issues as needed. Develop a strong understanding of electrical systems installation, the National Electrical Code, and other building codes; stay informed of new electrical and safety codes, materials, technologies, and practices; participate in related training to maintain proficiency. Has a growth mindset and a commitment to continual learning. Is detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Can work independently and meet deadlines with minimal oversight. Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent work experience in BIM trade school, engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3-4 years of BIM modeling experience. Proficiency in Autodesk, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office; experience with Evolve is a plus. Ability to read, interpret, and understand electrical contracts, plans, drawings, and specifications; basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code preferred. Basic project management skills and understanding of the project life cycle. A strong desire to learn about electrical design and construction and to be a dependable team player. Travel
Occasional travel may be required. Salary
$83,100 - 116,300 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits
