Job Summary The Operating Room Surgical Technician performs in the surgical scrub role for operative and invasive procedures, assisting under RN supervision, and may participate in circulating duties. They may also undertake specialty assignments and customer service or expense reduction initiatives annually. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain asepsis in the surgical suite and observe all team members for technique breaches. Track implants and handle equipment per manufacturer guidelines. Identify opportunities to reduce waste and expenses. Efficiently set up and turnover rooms. Scrub all cases efficiently across services. Demonstrate flexibility with assignments. Communicate effectively and adhere to behavioral standards. Educate and measure competency on specialty equipment. Restock supplies as needed. Education, Experience, and Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. National certification or eligibility. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows. Seniority level
