Overview
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our Human Resources department with a focus on Benefit Administration, Onboarding/Offboarding, Training and Development, and compliance. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented HR professional who is passionate about training initiatives and creating a positive workplace culture. This position is full-time, and in-office. Responsibilities
Onboarding
- The HR Generalist will support pre-employment and onboarding processing including background checks, reference checks, pre-employment paperwork tracking, and departmental notifications. Assist with new hire orientations, reviewing I-9 work authorization documents, and adding new employees to our Human Resources Information System. Manage and monitor employee badging, including issuance, renewals, and replacements as needed. The HR Generalist will provide new employees notices and reminders for eligibility for benefits, COBRA notifications, new hire benefit tracking, and complete the online enrollments. The HR Generalist will monitor terminations, assist with open enrollment, and benefit inquiries. Training and Development
- The HR Generalist will assist in developing and implementing training programs including leadership development, technical training, and soft skills workshops. Coordinates job-specific certification timelines to ensure employees meet industry standards. Assists in developing training materials, presentations, and e-learning modules. Offboarding
- The HR Generalist will issue unemployment notices, COBRA notifications and process terminations of current benefit enrollments. Process all termination paperwork, assist with the exit interviews, and ensure departmental notifications of terminations. Qualifications
2-4 years of HR experience, with a strong understanding of benefit administration, employee onboarding and offboarding, and compliance. Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with HR software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
