Travel Surgical Scrub Technician - $2,230 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 10/20/2025 Duration: 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days, flexible Employment Type: Travel Job Summary The Surgical Technologist provides safe care for patients following established standards and practices in accordance with professional and hospital standards. This role supports registered nurses and surgeons in the perioperative environment but does not serve as a surgical assistant during procedures. Responsibilities Assist registered nurses in planning patient care and collaborate with healthcare team members. Create and maintain asepsis, perform scrubbing duties, and account for equipment and supplies. Communicate patient information appropriately and consistently uphold customer service standards. Maintain cleanliness and care of surgical unit and equipment. Serve as a clinical preceptor for scrubbing and orientation activities. Adhere to safety standards, infection control, and performance improvement initiatives. Perform other job duties as required. Skills & Abilities Knowledge of organizational policies and common safety hazards. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs., and assist with patient transfers. Ability to work under stressful conditions, meet deadlines, and adapt to irregular hours. Willingness to take call, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Education & Requirements High school diploma or GED – Required Current certification in Surgical Technology through the NBSTSA – Required BLS certification from the American Heart Association – Required At least 1 year of clinical operating room experience – Highly Desired Must meet one of the following: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program with NBSTSA certification. Completed an appropriate military surgical technology training program. Employed as a Surgical Technologist in a healthcare facility in this State prior to January 1, 2008. Serving in the federal government performing surgical technology duties. Work Environment Frequent exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, and infectious materials. Moderate to high noise level in work area. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Work under stressful conditions with deadlines, on-call duties, and weekend/holiday coverage.
