Job Description
Paradigm is seeking an SMT Operator to support our client, a leader in electronics manufacturing. This role involves operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting surface mount technology (SMT) equipment such as Europlacer pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, AOI systems, and stencil printers, following detailed work instructions and quality standards. The ideal candidate has prior machine operation experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications are preferred. Obtain and maintain IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications. Meet production requirements, including reading and understanding Fusion documentation, passing the Component Identification quiz, and performing in-process inspections. Operate Europlacer pick-and-place machines and load trolleys per work instructions. Analyze PROMON data to evaluate machine issues during production. Operate reflow ovens, stencil print equipment, X-ray machines, 3D AOI systems, SPI systems, and Vision Master as per instructions. Operate in-line and batch washers. Assist inspectors at AOI review stations. Work efficiently across all SMT-related machines throughout the shift. Follow directions from the Lead and communicate effectively. Perform depaneling operations and conduct preventative maintenance. Adhere to Safety, ESD, ITAR, and QMS protocols, maintaining 5S standards and seeking continuous process improvements. Participate in Lean initiatives and provide feedback on process changes. Use MES to track job status and time, and pursue waste reduction. Requirements
Prior experience operating SMT machines, especially Europlacer pick-and-place equipment. IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications. At least two years of relevant experience.
