Animal Medical Center, located less than 15 miles outside of Richmond, VA is a small animal General Practice & Urgent Care hospital that provides quality, affordable care to the pets of Central Virginia. Animal Medical Center is a fast-paced, AAHA-accredited, 4-doctor practice providing both general practice and urgent care services. We're a close-knit team that thrives on collaboration, clear communication, and mutual support and we're looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician who shares our passion for exceptional animal care. You'll be an essential part of our medical team, working on a variety of cases from preventive care to urgent situations. Your technical skills, compassion, and adaptability will make a real impact every day. Our services include: Wellness & Preventive Care Urgent Care Soft Tissue Surgery Ultrasound And more Schedule: 4-day work week Rotating Saturdays Must be available for

closing shifts (until 8:00 PM) Typical shifts:

10:00 AM 8:00 PM What were looking for: Required: Minimum 1 year of experience Licensed Veterinary Technician

in the state of Virginia Preferred skills: IV catheter placement Experience in urgent care or ER settings Anesthesia and surgical support proficiency Strong team player with a collaborative spirit Able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment You're more than just a number here you're part of the family. Position Skills: Professional client communication and education, obtaining medical histories and symptoms Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols for fellow staff members Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring Proficient in dental prophylaxis Position Requirements: Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
