Overview
Project Manager-Commercial Construction (Industrial and Manufacturing) Base Salary: $100-130k (Negotiable). My client is a full-service veteran-owned subcontractor specializing in commercial drywall, metal stud framing, acoustical ceilings, and insulation. Position Summary
My client is seeking a seasoned Project Manager (minimum 5 years' experience) skilled in data center, manufacturing, and other commercial/industrial facilities. You will own projects from inception to completionleading everything from planning to tender, ensuring delivery on strategic, technical, budgetary, and schedule goals. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end project deliveryconcept planning, budgeting, scheduling, construction, and closeout/tender. Coordinate across stakeholders: clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal Ultra Commercial teams. Manage mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process piping, and site work systems in commercial/industrial settings. Develop and track project schedules, budgets, change orders, and deliverable quality to ensure alignment with objectives (time, cost, scope, quality). Serve as Ultra Commercials client-facing representativeleading meetings, proposals, negotiations, and communications. Ensure compliance with safety, code, and company design standards. Incorporate value engineering principles to optimize outcomes. Produce status reports, risk assessments, and financial forecasts at agreed intervals.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural), Architecture, or equivalent experience. Experience: Minimum 5 years managing commercial and industrial facility projectsincluding data center or manufacturing environments. Hands-on experience with MEP systems, tenant improvements, and ground-up construction. Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings; strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication ability. Tools: Experience with project management software (e.g., Onscreen Takeoff), Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus. Soft Skills: Leadership, contractor/vendor collaboration, adaptability to shifting priorities, and high stakeholder engagement.
