SAP ECC and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) . As part of our
RISE with SAP
journey, this role drives security strategy, governance, and compliance to ensure our SAP environment remains secure, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices. Job Summary
The SAP Security Lead will provide strategic direction for SAP security initiatives while managing day-to-day execution of identity and access controls. This role involves collaboration with IT, finance, audit, and business stakeholders to implement and maintain robust security frameworks, tools, and processes. The ideal candidate combines deep SAP security expertise with leadership skills to guide global teams and external partners. The candidate is proactive, with a strong foundation in SAP security architecture, a deep understanding of compliance frameworks, and a passion for continuous improvement. Curiosity, motivation to learn, integrity, and honesty are essential traits for success. The SAP Security Lead must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with multiple tasks and deadlines and must be able to adjust priorities as needed. Key Responsibilities
Design and govern SAP security architecture across ECC, S/4HANA, and cloud platforms, ensuring compliance with SOX, GDPR, and NIST standards. Develop and enforce SAP authorization frameworks, role-based access controls (RBAC), and segregation of duties (SoD). Manage integration of SAP solutions with IAM and SSO architecture to enforce secure authentication and access policies. Lead SAP security operations, including role administration, audit remediation, risk mitigation, and vulnerability management. Oversee SAP security for system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring security requirements are integrated into solution design. Partner with internal and external auditors to maintain audit readiness and compliance with regulatory frameworks. Monitor SAP security alerts, conduct risk assessments, and implement proactive measures to mitigate threats. Mentor team members and manage external partners delivering SAP Identity and Access Management (IAM) services globally. Collaborate with HR and business teams to align user access with organizational changes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 10+ years
of experience in SAP security, including multiple tools for security. Deep expertise in SAP security across multiple SAP products (ECC, S/4HANA, GTS, Ariba, Fiori, BTP). Strong understanding of SAP authorization concepts, compliance frameworks, and private cloud security. Proven experience with IT SOX controls, risk analysis, and audit processes. Hands-on experience in SAP security project lifecycles, including design, build, testing, and hypercare. Continuously evaluate and optimize SAP configurations and security practices. Recommend and implement improvements to the overall security and administration of SAP environments. Stay up to date with SAP product updates, security patches, and industry trends to ensure best practices are followed.
Preferred Skills
SAP certifications in Security or GRC. Experience with SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Identity Services, and integration with identity providers (e.g., Azure AD). Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation for SAP security processes.

The U.S. pay range for this position is $86,643 - $144,406 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
