Relocation Assistance Eligible for Qualified Technologists Location: 1615 Hospital Pkwy, Suite 108 Bedford, TX 76022 Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (One Saturday Shift per Month Required) Department Highlights: Located on-site with the Lisa Trent Breast Center Center of Excellence Award: ACR certified in Mammography, Stereotactic Biopsy, and Ultrasound Guided Biopsy On-site Preceptor for Mammography Technologist Trainee's Here is what you will need: Texas Medical Board License - TMB Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience. Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA - 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years. Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred. A Day in the Life of a Mammographer Provide services and support for the following areas: Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health; Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees; Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions; Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills; Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique; Performs other work-related duties as assigned. The Mammography Technologist is expected to practice safe procedures and adheres to radiation safety measures under the supervision of the Radiology supervisor or the Radiologist. Specific duties may include but are not limited to: Complete patient education regarding the exam Perform diagnostic or screening mammogram as ordered Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
