Manager, Corporate And Foundation Relations
The Manager, Corporate And Foundation Relations plays a pivotal role in advancing Cancer Support Community's mission through the cultivation of and stewardship of strategic partnerships with corporations and foundations. This role will focus on securing sponsorships, grants, and in-kind support, while also engaging corporate employees as ambassadors, fundraisers, and champions for CSC's programs. The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused fundraiser with strong writing, strategy, and presentation skills, and a passion for building mission-aligned partnerships. Corporate Engagement & Sponsorships: Cultivate and secure partnerships through sponsorships, cause marketing, employee engagement, and workplace giving. Strengthen and grow CSC's Corporate Cares program, building mutually beneficial relationships with companies that share our commitment to those impacted by cancer. Promote CSC's "When Cancer Comes to Work" initiative as a resource for corporate partners looking to support employees through a cancer diagnosis. Develop materials and presentations to promote corporate partnership benefits and visibility opportunities. Represent CSC at industry events, conferences, and corporate meetings. Foundation Relations & Grant Management: Research and identify foundation funders aligned with CSC's mission and programs. Write and submit high-quality letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and stewardship reports. Track and manage all grant deadlines, deliverables, and outcomes reporting. Cultivate and build relationships with foundation program officers, grant managers, trustees and other staff. Serve as point person for all correspondence and communications to strengthen engagement and partnerships. Corporate Employee Engagement & Peer-To-Peer Fundraising: Engage corporate partners' employees as peer-to-peer fundraising leaders, mission ambassadors, and event participants. Collaborate with the events and development staff to integrate employee teams into CSC campaigns and fundraising initiatives. Design customized engagement strategies that inspire employees to fundraise and advocate on behalf of CSC. Strategic Integration & Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with the development staff to align corporate and foundation efforts with broader fundraising strategies. Support senior and executive leadership and board members with donor briefings, proposals, gift agreements, and meeting preparation and follow through. Contribute to revenue forecasting, pipeline development, and long-term planning. Data-Driven Strategy & Reporting: Track all necessary donor data, including contact reports, actions, and proposals in Virtuous. Use data to inform prospecting, engagement, and stewardship strategies. Monitor KPIs such as revenue growth, partnership renewals, and proposal success rates. Maintain accurate records and reports using Virtuous CRM and grants tracking systems. Stewardship & Recognition: Implement creative, personalized stewardship strategies to deepen funder relationships. Ensure timely delivery of grant reports, event sponsorship benefits, and recognition commitments. Share program impact through tailored storytelling and multimedia content. Performs other duties as requested by management. Skills and abilities: Strong grant writing, proposal development, and relationship management skills. Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication abilities. Ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Occasional travel (approximately 10-20%) may be required for donor meetings, conferences, or site visits. Technical skills: Proficiency in Virtuous CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, and grant management tools. Familiarity with digital collaboration platforms and virtual donor engagement tools. Education: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in corporate and/or foundation fundraising with demonstrated success securing five- and six-figure gifts. Salary and benefits: Dependent on experience.
