Chief Cloud Architect And Lead Infrastructure Sme (CCALIS)
Barbaricum is seeking a highly skilled Chief Cloud Architect and Lead Infrastructure SME (CCALIS) to provide enterprise-level expertise in AWS GovCloud architecture and infrastructure strategy in support of the Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP) mission and Digital Enterprise Services (MODES). This position plays a critical role in designing secure, scalable cloud solutions for government clients and guiding the implementation of resilient cloud infrastructure aligned with DoD policy. Responsibilities: Deliver senior-level technical leadership for cloud infrastructure and AWS GovCloud architecture in support of MC&FP systems and mission requirements. Provide hands-on expertise in developing, integrating, and sustaining AWS GovCloud environments. Guide DevSecOps and Agile teams to implement secure, scalable solutions and ensure continuous compliance. Collaborate with cybersecurity SMEs to maintain architecture aligned with DoD cybersecurity frameworks and best practices. Serve as a strategic advisor for cloud modernization initiatives and digital transformation efforts across the enterprise. Required Qualifications: Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in DoD or Federal IT architecture and/or infrastructure roles. 5+ years of experience with AWS GovCloud architecture and infrastructure support. One or more of the following certifications: CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSO, GCIA, GCSA, GCLD, GICSP, GSLC, CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP Desired Qualifications: 5+ years supporting cloud architecture and infrastructure in DevSecOps and Agile development environments. Strong understanding of enterprise cloud strategy, migration, and sustainment within the DoD ecosystem.
